In 2025, we have been able to fund two teachers’ participation in a 10-week early childhood development course designed to fulfill part of the requirements for a full American Montessori Certification, and supported all staff in attending the American Montessori Event in Denver, CO, in March. Favorite workshops included: Identifying and Working with Attention and Learning Challenges, New Approaches to Teaching Early Math, Sewing, and Targeted Movement Activities Inside the Classroom. Our teachers are eagerly incorporating new knowledge and skills into the program.
Looking forward, we hope to enhance our movement curriculum by improving the natural outdoor play space and playground.
